Creating an Opt-In Page & Thank You Page

A client wanted to set up an opt-in page and thank you page on her website to promote a lead magnet. The goal was to capture leads by offering a valuable resource in exchange for their contact information, and then guide them smoothly to access the resource after opting in.

Project Goals

  • Capture Leads: Design an opt-in page that clearly presents the lead magnet and encourages visitors to submit their name and email address.

  • Confirm Receipt: Create a thank you page that confirms the opt-in submission and provides instructions for accessing the lead magnet.

Solution Process

  • Copywriting and Content Creation:

    • I started by drafting multiple copywriting options for both the opt-in and thank you pages, ensuring that the messaging was clear, engaging, and aligned with the client’s brand voice.

  • Designing the Opt-In Page:

    • I built the opt-in page to explain the value of the lead magnet, guiding visitors through a simple flow that encouraged them to provide their name and email.

    • Included a call-to-action that prompted users to opt in to receive the resource.

    • I also created a mockup image of the lead magnet displayed on an iPad to give potential customers a preview of what they would be receiving.

  • Creating the Thank You Page:

    • After users submitted their information, the thank you page was designed to confirm that their submission had been received.

    • I included clear instructions about where to find the lead magnet (in their inbox) and reassured them that they would receive the valuable resource shortly.
